Can I look at your event menu?
Of course! You can download our current menu here. Don't see your favorite dessert listed? Just ask! We are happy to work with you to create a menu that is personalized to your event.
Do you offer tastings?
Private tastings are available for wedding cake, and are dependent on availability. We do not offer tastings on event days, so be sure to check our availability calendar. There is a $20 fee for the first two guests, and $5 for each additional guest. As the Pastry Bar is quite small, it is asked that you please limit your party to no more than four people. If you would like to sample other desserts, they can be purchased from the selection available in the pastry case during regular hours. Custom tastings for dessert buffets are available only after your date has been reserved on our calendar.
Can you give me a general idea of cost?
Cost is based on the menu you choose, your guest count, and whether or not you will need delivery, setup/styling, staff or rentals. Please fill out the form to the right, and we will contact you.
What makes you different from a "regular" bakery?
Just Baked SLO is a dessert catering company, first and foremost. Every dessert on your event menu is made to order from scratch using fresh, high-quality ingredients, and specifically for your event.
I would like to reserve a date, but I don't know my guest count, and I haven't decided on a menu. What should I do?
All that is required to secure your wedding or event date on our calendar is a $100 non-refundable retainer fee (applied to your total event order). A deposit of 50% is collected once your menu is set. We book a maximum of two events per weekend. Click here to check our calendar for availability.
Do you make wedding cakes?
We would be more than happy to create a photo cake to go alongside your dessert buffet, or a larger cake up to three tiers. Prices for 6" photo cakes start at $65, and tiered cakes start at $4.50 per serving (buttercream frosting and filling) with a minimum charge of $175.
Can you set up the buffet, or do you just provide delivery?
Delivery and setup are fee-based services that can be added on to your order together, or separately. Delivery for event orders runs $1.50/mile, one way from our kitchen ($30 minimum charge). We also offer a selection of display items for rent. Please view our Rentals Gallery to view the pieces we offer. Some of our packages include use of our basic display pieces.
How many desserts should we order per guest for a dessert buffet?
The size of the desserts we create for a buffet invite your guests to eat more than one, and typically people eat 2-4 pieces. There are lots of different factors that influence this, most importantly when dessert is served. And here's an inside tip: Your guests will likely eat more if you provide them with a plate to take to the buffet.
