Q: Do you have a storefront?
A: We do not have a storefront (yet!), but we work out of a licensed commercial kitchen in San Luis Obispo that is owned by Two Cooks Catering. We rent our kitchen space by the hour which is why we require as much notice as possible for special orders, and they carry a a minimum charge of $50.
Q: What days of the week do deliver?
A: Each product detail page lists our next available local delivery or shipping date. If you would like something delivered on a day other than what is listed, please contact us at least a week in advance, and we'll see if we can make it happen.
Q: What if I'd like a delivery made on a day that is not listed?
A: Just ask! If the day you are requesting happens to be on our schedule of regular delivery dates, we'll have you place an order as usual, and put a note on your delivery slip. Orders for days that are not on our regular delivery schedule require 48 hours notice, and require a $50 minimum purchase. Please note, we are not always able to accommodate all special delivery requests, but we will do our best! Sorry, but we cannot accommodate same-day orders at this time.
Q: When do you ship?
A: We currently ship on Mondays to ensure your goodies are as fresh as possible when you receive them. Be sure to check available ship dates listed on our product detail pages before placing an order.
Q: Do you deliver to Cal Poly?
A: Yes! And delivery is always free to the residence halls - be sure to select the "Pickup" option for shipping method during checkout so you are not charged! Deliveries are made to the front desk of the residence hall, and your student will be notified they have a package waiting for them. Be sure to check available local delivery dates listed on our product detail pages before placing an order.
Q: If delivery to Cal Poly is free, why do you charge for delivery in SLO?
A: Delivering to Cal Poly is similar to delivering to a commercial address - there is always someone there to receive the package. When we are delivering to residences, we don't like to leave packages out on porches, so there is a bit more time and coordination involved with these deliveries, thus the charge. We do our best to keep delivery fees as low as possible.
Q: Do you offer cakes or cupcakes?
A: We do not offer cakes and cupcakes on our everyday delivery menu, but we do offer them as part of a catering package. Please visit our catering page for more information.
Q: Do you offer gluten free baked goods?
A: Unfortunately, we do not. Since we work in a shared kitchen space, the chances of gluten cross-contamination are too great.
Q: How are the items packaged?
A: Original sized cookies, brownies and bars are individually wrapped and sealed in shiny cello bags for freshness. For local delivery, they are placed in a bakery box with festive red paper shreds, and tied with baker's twine. For shipping, they are placed in a tuck-top shipping box with tissue and red paper shreds.
Q: Do you offer mixed boxes of goodies, or just single varieties in a dozen?
A: Since all our products are baked to order, and we don't have a storefront (we pay for our commercial kitchen space by the hour), it can often be difficult to offer mixed dozens and keep our costs down. However! Depending on our order load, it is usually possible to provide this service, so just ask when you place your order and we can tell you what will be available to choose from.
Q: What's in your products?
A: We use only natural ingredients, and our products contain no preservatives. We only use responsibly sourced chocolate. If you are concerned about allergens, our products may contain some or all of the following: dairy, wheat, eggs, soy, peanuts, tree nuts, coconut, chocolate and cinnamon. Q: What is the shelf life of your products?
A: For best taste and texture, we recommend that you enjoy our products within three days of receipt. For a "Just Baked" experience, remove the item from its wrapper and microwave for 5-10 seconds. Most items may also be frozen for up to 1 month.
Q: How much is shipping/delivery?
A: We ship via UPS Ground, and shipping costs are determined by weight of the package and the location we are shipping to. Some orders may ship via USPS Priority Mail at our discretion. You will receive a shipping quote before your order is finalized. Delivery in San Luis Obispo County runs between $5 and $15. Local delivery fees are waived for orders over 5 dozen (note: all boxes must be delivered to same location).
Q: Can you accommodate custom orders?
A: With a little bit of notice, sure. Tell us what you are looking for, and we'll absolutely see what we can do - we love a good challenge! (Custom orders carry a minimum charge of $50)
