Founders Annie & Meghan met in the summer of 2006 working in the kitchen at The Black Cat Bistro in Cambria, California. They shared a passion for all-things-food that quickly developed into a friendship.
Both women eventually left the restaurant, married their respective beaus, and when Meghan had her first child in 2008, Annie brought her some chocolate chip cookies. Meghan returned the favor when Annie's son was born in 2009 (the recipe tweaked ever-so-slightly). They continued passing cookies back and forth, each time changing and improving the recipe just a bit. After hearing, "These are the best cookies I've ever had! You really could sell these," constantly from friends and family members, they decided to go for it.
The Flagship Chocolate Chip™ Cookie and Just Baked SLO were born in November of 2010.
Just Baked SLO's offerings have grown to include additional cookie flavors, confections, and full-service dessert catering including dessert buffets and specialty plated desserts for weddings and events.
